Innovation

The innovative aspects of the project

1.

The introduction and promotion of a learner-centred paradigm in the array of innovative teaching approaches and strategies in the two Partner Countries. It will leverage the competences of HE graduates in the China and Georgia by making provision not only for identification of the specific needs of each learner but also for responding to them by deploying a wide range of teaching strategies based on active learning.

2.

Development of a manual on learner-centred teaching approach will be the only instructional material based on the needs of Partner Countries and best practices of European partners. Moreover, the manual published in Georgian and Chinese will be available to the critical mass of teaching staff.

3.

The whole idea of creating and promoting a learner-centred approach for the teaching and learning process is itself new for the Partner Countries. Establishing CPD units will not only ensure provision of high quality education to future professionals, but also establish a culture where the student is the centre of the learning and teaching process.
