About the platform

The platform was developed in the frame of the project “The Sustainable learner-centred Teaching - Advanced Recourse for Georgia and China” (STAR). The project is co-funded by the European Union’s Erasmus+ KA2 programme – Cooperation for innovation and the exchange of interesting practices – Capacity Building in the field of Higher Education.

It serves as an area where everyone interested in learner-centred teaching paradigm including academic and administrative staff of consortium members and those of other higher education institutions throughout the world can share their experience about the above mentioned philosophy.

Achieving these goals and objectives will significantly improve the quality of higher education in partner countries and will serve as a catalyst for nation-wide acceptance of learner-centred teaching. Building up learner-centred practices internally, externally and internationally will ensure that the educational reforms that so far have not been properly implemented become an integral part of the teaching process, which is regarded as a necessity both by PCs and by the EU.

The key objective is to address the shortcomings in higher education across Georgia and China by systematically engaging HEIs in new practices with a learner-centred focus.
