Nato Chikhladze

Nato Chikhladze, BE, MPA, MA, PhD (c) in Educational Sciences. MA in education politics and management from UCL Institute of Education (UK). She has more than 10 years experience in management positions, including top management of university. Nato has been involved in several international projects, including those of the EU. Over the years she was in charge of quality assurance and curriculum development processes. Recently Nato has used her expertise to develop two MA level courses in the above mentioned fields.

Archil Jangirashvili

Archil Jangirashvili, BLL, LL.M, PhD (c), head of the Accreditation Department in Quality Assurance Office of UG. He is responsible for internal evaluation of compatibility of program accreditation with standards. Archil has a big experience in internal and external evaluation of program accreditation, curriculum development, educational projects and monitoring. Has years of experience in study process organization and management. He has been a member of group that works for further development and perfection of regulations and standards for quality enhancement in higher education in Georgia, which was provided by National center for educational quality enhancement. Additionally, Archil has spent years on gaining important practical experiences in trials. His master thesis was “The legal Issues of External Mechanisms of Quality Enhancement in Higher Education in Georgia”. He also is a co-author of publication “New trends in education system in Georgia”.

Tinatin Chitorelidze

Tinatin Chitorelidze, PhD (c) in Special Education, leading the courses: Leading and Management in Education, Teaching and Learning Theories and Strategies. Researcher in Erasmus + project "A Network of Developing Lifelong Learning in Armenia, Georgia and Ukraine". Has vast experience in managing and administering the academic process of bachelor, master and doctoral education programs. Her current research interest focuses on the use of student-centered teaching methods for students with learning difficulties.

Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani Teaching University/sabauni is an accredited, new higher educational institution that has functioned in the Georgian education market since 2009 aiming to give quality education to the young people. To achieve this goal, there are lot of activities carried out in the university; International conferences, workshops, trainings, foreign visiting professors, research projects and grants. Beside this Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani Teaching University is a member of the Network of Eastern European Universities.

Recently the university offers the following undergraduate and postgraduate programs: Bachelor’s program of Law; bachelor’s program in Theology, bachelor’s program in Tourism, Bachelor’s program of Business administration, bachelor’s program of International Relations, Master’s program in Theology and Master’s program of Law.

Nowadays Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani Teaching University has 1000 students, 40 administrative staff and 151 academic staff and visiting professors.

From 2015-2016 academic year Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani Teaching University participates in ERASMUS+  programs.

Gvantsa Abdaladze

Gvantsa Abdaladze, an associated professor at the faculty of Humanities and Political Sciences. She has been teaching at different higher educational institutions from 2000 at different academic and administration positions. She has participated in some Professional Development Programs in EU and USA,  that also included trainings about teaching skills and methods, also she has attended certified seminar sessions about teaching process and methods organized in Georgia. She has experience with Erasmus + program.

Ekaterine Natsvlishvili

Ekaterine Natsvlishvili, PhD in Philosophy; MS in Management - Professor of Management, faculty of Business at SSOTU, lectures courses in Management, HRM, OB and Leadership. She has developed course syllabus and teaching sources for Doctoral Programs in Modern Methods of Teaching and Assessment and delivers lectures at the EEU as an invited professor.

Besides of academic activities, her working experience consists with different positions, among them: Manager of the Programme for administrative support and strengthening opportunities of HE & VE sectoral councils at the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement (NCEQE) (currently) ; Coordinator of Educational Resources Development at the Programme for Vocational Qualifications Development Support (2015-2016); Expert of Assessment Group at the NCEQE, responsible for the expertise of methodological aspects of module-based educational programmes and assessment tools, drafting recommendations for the NCEQE (2014); Expert, and Leader of the Module-based Management Programme for ZSPA at the Ministry of Education and Sciences, responsible for designing, and expertise training module, syllabus,  educational-methodological and training materials, staff selection and training, drafting of progress reports and terms of references for future activities (2005-2007);  Head of Educational-Methodical and Training Department at the Centre for Civil Service Consulting and Training (2003-2007); Director at the European Center for Law, Economics and Management (2016-up to today);  Deputy Head of Research department, and Deputy Head of Quality Assurance Department at the Tbilisi State University of Economic Relations (2004-2010). 

Dr. Natsvlishvili has considerable experience in adults training and assessment. She has attended various international trainings on education management, among them are programs on: Training Needs Analysis and Planning of VET Teachers Training in Assessment (ISWED-Project, MCA); the Framework of Professional Education Quality Assurance (MCA-Georgia); Competence-based Assessment in Module-based VET Programs (MCA-Georgia); Organizing the Learning Outcomes and Process Assessment, (GIZ); Modern Approaches of Learning and Assessment (NCEQE); Methodology of Module-Based Curriculum Development (NCEQE); Strategic Management, Success on the Top of Pyramid - Contemporary Technologies in Student-oriented Teaching in the Process of Business Administration Programs Implementation (IPAK CENTAR, Belgrade); Innovative Teaching Strategies in Public Economic Policy Courses (HESP Regional Seminar for Excellence in Teaching, OSI); The Student-Oriented Learning and Innovative Teaching Methods in Economic Courses (HESP Regional Seminar for Excellence in Teaching, OSI); Quality of Education and Human Resources Management (NMCP/PUM, the Netherlands);  Train the Trainers – Program (NMCP/PUM).

University of Zugdidi

University of Zugdidi

Shota Meskhia State Teaching University of Zugdidi is a very young University in the region, providing BA (Georgian Language and Literature, English Language and Literature, History, Business Administration, Pharmacy, primary education, public management), MA (History of Georgia, Business Administration, Georgian Literature) and several Vocational Educational Programmes. There are about 800 Bachelor, 50 Master and 600 professional students in the University. As a regional University its mission is to provide the European Standard learning and teaching capacity for the students in the region.

The strategy of the university is to provide the highly qualified graduates according to the region’s interest, who will be oriented on democracy and humanism; equipped with Georgian and world cultural values in compliance with modern demands competencies. The university prepares and retrains new academic staff, provides and develops the conditions of teaching and research in compliance with permanently changeable label markets by modifying curriculums.

University aims to support capacity building projects and enhance the student mobility abroad. Since 2012 the university succeeds a lot on the way of internationalisation, as it has already 5 Erasmus Mundus and 2 Tempus projects. University supports academic and administrative staff to develop student oriented teaching and learning methodologies.

Teona Khupenia

Teona Khupenia, rector of the University, at the same time professor, linguistic, having lectures in academic writing course for higher education programmes in all level (Bachelor and Master). As a rector of the univrsity she is the one head of academic council having decision making position on the council. Main responsible person for educational policy as in the university at the same time in the region. Head of academic council responsible for curriculum development of the university. At the same time as a full professor having lectures in methodology of Georgian language teaching on the academic programme of Elementary Education (BA).  She actively involved in several international progammes working in the university (Erasmus and Tempus, Erasmus+ capacity building and credit mobility) to support the process of establishing the university in the region as the place of excellences. Her research works and attitude to the staff involved in scholarly works in the field of education for the educational development process of the university are approved by the state and international partners. Main responsible staff for students service development, academic writing curriculum review, university policies and resources. 

Khatuna Gogia

Khatuna Gogia, PhD, head of Teaching and Scientific Department, responsible for the scientific work of the academic staff, for academic review of the annual scientific work of the University. Responsible for the librarian administration and student s services. Having experience being involved in some international projects running in the University

Bela Mosia

Bela Mosia, head of Quality Assurance Service Center, has experience of leadership in different fields of working. Core staff responsible to enhance the quality of teaching and learning processes  As a head of QA service center responsible for academic development of higher educational programmes and academic and administrative staff in the university. Skills of leadership, outgoing. Since 2005 until now assistant of administrative in  Zugdidi Centre of National Exam. High personal responsibility, full of ideas, positive outlook and good at organizing and bring people together. Local coordinator of 5 erasmus mundus and 2 tempus project in ZSTU. Member if ISFNR (International Society for Folk Narrative Research). Organizer of international conferences and participant of several international conferences abroad in Europe and USA. as a full professor of abovementioned university she is having the lectures with BA students of Elementary Education academic programme in the field of teaching methodologies  and syllabus development.  All academic working programmes with the programme leaders group are under her revision in the university and she is having lectures on a different subject in the humanitarian faculty on the first and second stage of education. She was the first acaedemic staff abroad from the university giving the lectures for PhD students in the University of Tartu (Estonia). Winner of four national grants from Shota Rustaveli National Foundation for Science, within them she was the organizer of the international conference of ISFNR (international Society for Folk Narrative Research) held in Shota Meskhia State Teaching University of Zugdidi in 2014, October, hosted about 34 international Scholars from 15 different countries from all over the world.
