Brno 1 - kick-off meeting

Ferbuary 2017

First, so-called Kick-off meeting, have been hold in Brno, Czech Republic, at the Masaryk University, Czech Republic, which is the coordinating institution of the STAR Project. The Kick-off meeting have been attended by almost all key partner institutions except Bulgarian and Portuguese team. Within the meeting, basic characteristics of the project work packages and the fundamental project framework for the future project cooperation have been established. Furthermore, the time schedule of each introductory tasks in within the each work packages have been set. Special welcome to our colleagues from Georgia and China!

Ruse

October 2017

Second project meeting has been hosted by the University of Angel Kanchev in Ruse, Bulgaria. The main aim of the second meeting was to discuss the conditions for the development of the Continuous professional development units at the partner higher education institutions for which the internal institutional analysis needed to be done. Moreover, the fundamental structure of the Manual of Learner-centred teaching methods and the selection of the methodological aspects for identification of contemporary teaching practice at the partner institutions have been discussed.

Coimbra

March 2018

Third project meeting have been hosted by the University of Coimbra, Portugal. The pilot Face-to-face training and the testing of the Manual content have been conducted. Furthermore, based on the internal analysis of the conditions at the partner higher education institutions the first steps of the establishment of the CPD units have been made as well. Within the meeting, the Interim conference, held in Zhanjiang, China, has been planned as well as the structure of the training of academics and administrative staff of partners institutions from Georgia and China.

Tbilisi

October 2018

Another STAR project meeting, first of the training round, have been hosted by the University of Georgia, Georgia. During the project meeting, the first group of 28 members of academic and administrative staff from higher education institutions in Georgia have been trained by the project Portuguese team. The training took overall three days with an additional prior online training. Within the meeting, the final structure of the Interim Conference in Zhanjiang has been defined. The preparation of the Online platform and the Digitisation of the training started to be prepared as well.

Zhanjiang

October 2018

Our fifth meeting started with Interim conference at the Lingnan Normal University, in Zhangjiang China. The conference was attended by 300 participants. The second round of the training under the project framework has been managed. Overall 28 members of administrative and academic staff from Chinese higher education institutions have been trained in using of learner-centred teaching methods in their practice. 

Brno 2

February 2019

The sixth meeting have been held again at the Masaryk University in the Czech Republic. During the meeting the structure of the Online Platform have been presented. The Online Platform serves as an international online space for sharing experiences and inspiration for using the learner-centred teaching methods. Furthermore, the newly established system of Continuous professional development units at the partner universities in China and Georgia have been presented. Each unit already prepared their own training sessions (not only) in the learner-centred teaching paradigm and based on the project training already conducted training sessions at their universities. Finally, the Final Conference in Tbilisi and its content has been prepared as well.
